Today in court a defendant got mad about the judge calling him out and he got really worked up and yelled, “Stop judging me, I feel like all you’re doing is judging me!!” at
the
judge.
…..it’s not like he was wrong.
Yeah this is not uncommon. The judge took it in stride; this is hardly the first time this has happened.
In related news, I shared an elevator this morning with a member of the public who was trying to locate the correct court room. I pointed her in the right direction, and also advised that she zip up her hoodie over her tshirt, which read, “I prefer DOG SHIT to BULLSHIT.”
She thanked me for mentioning that, and was fumbling with the zipper as the elevator doors closed.
This afternoon, one of the other attorneys told us about someone who was in court and got called out by the judge for wearing a tshirt that, inexplicably, just read “I PREFER DOG SHIT.”
