I’m reading this medieval manuscript and so far this dude has managed to spell “chickens” in the following ways:

  • chekyns
  • chekens
  • chekynnes
  • chekennes
  • chykynnes
  • chykyns
  • chykens 

I’ll keep you updated if I find any more variations
